Coaching Sports

If you would like to work on your sporting capabilities and to share them with others, then why not join SenExperience+ and also have the opportunity to make new friends in a new country? Your role would be to train children aged 10 -16 at our own football centre. You would also work with the coaches of local teams participating in the regional and national championships; as such you will become the link between the children and the coaches. The Senegalese and Gambian are well known for their strong sporting abilities and, in any event, sport is a universal language which brings people together. You will be in charge of the project and will also have to organise your own timetable during the week (and sometimes Saturdays) with the children. As well as football, it is also possible to coach them in other sports including basket ball, roller skating, athletics and volleyball.

20 hours per week = 4 hours per day = 2 hours with the beginners, 1 hour with the under 13s and under 17s.

20 hours per week = 4 hours per day.

The age of the pupils of the colleges and schools where our volunteers will teach is between 15 and 19 years. However, the possibility exists to give English or French lessons to children in the CEM2 class (last year of primary school) who are between 12 and 15 years old, and to the children of the neighbourhood where you are accomodated.

20 hours per week = 4 hours per day = 2 hours in each class (different levels).

”Life is about meaningful experiences, not possessions. And no experience is more fulfilling than making a difference where it really counts – as a volunteer in one of our communities.”
